Anna received her law degree in Poland (Master of Law degree) from the University of Szczecin in 1994, and three years later she defended her doctoral thesis at the same university, submitting a dissertation on Judicial Review in East-Central Europe.

In 1993, Anna came to the U.S. as a J-1 exchange visitor at the invitation of the Central & East European Law Initiative (CEELI) of the American Bar Association (ABA), to attend a program in commercial law sponsored by U.S. Department of Commerce in Washington, D.C.   She received her permanent resident status (“green card”) in 1997 and became a U.S. citizen in 2002.   

Anna graduated with a Master of Laws degree (LL.M. program) from the George Washington University School of Law in Washington D.C. in 2002.   She has an educational background from two different legal cultures, one a civil law country and the other a common law country.

Anna has practiced law in the Washington, D.C. area since 2005.  She has represented business professionals in employment based petitions and individuals in family petitions.  

Currently, Anna is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and New York State Bar Association (NYSBA), and is admitted to the New York Bar and the District of Columbia Bar.  She has served as guest lecturer at the George Washington University Law School on various aspect of business immigration law.  She has a native fluency in the Polish language.

Anna has been awarded a Fulbright Scholar grant to lecture at A.F. Modrzewski Krakow Univeristy in Poland during Fall semester of 2011, according to the U.S. Department of State and the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board.  Anna will be teaching a course on U.S. Immigration Law in a Comparative Perspective.
