Child Custody and Visitation If your marriage may be coming to an end or has already ended, one of the most important questions for individuals with children is who will get physical custody and how will visitation work.

When you are faced with these critical questions, you want a lawyer who knows the law, who will help you understand your options, the consequences of different choices and who will give you an honest assessment of your likelihood of success.

We will help you develop and implement custody and visitation arrangements that are in the best interests of your children, while protecting your rights as a parent.

There’s no cookie cutter visitation schedule.  In families with two fit parents, the ideal situation is often one where the child spends the maximum amount of time with each parent (i.e not with a babysitter or other daycare).  The schedule, then, will vary in order to provide the best fit for the family’s circumstances.  Some parties are able to work under a very general and undefined schedule.  Some parties work best with a detailed schedule, setting forth regular days of the week and times for pick up and drop-offs, how holidays are allocated between the parties, whether either (or both) parents are afforded any extra vacation time with the child, etc.

We are happy to work with you to think up different options and ideas for a schedule that will work the best for your children.
